You know those stores that when you first walk in you become mesmerized over? The ones that are just so perfectly perfect in their aesthetic that you’re convinced they’ve been around forever but you just missed out? The ones that are so awesome you know they’ll be getting *a lot!* of your money? Well, Lark in Gettysburg, PA is one of those stores, and I’m comfortable enough to say that this store may be one of my all time favorites.
My first visit I found myself so entranced by it’s curation. It seemed as though everything in the store was 100% in alignment with my visual aesthetics. I wanted *everything!!!* and the reins had to be pulled in (don’t get me wrong, I still did some financial damage here! ha!). Everything is so exquisitely arranged and thoughtfully put out on display. Warm, welcoming….everything about this store exuded the “Awesome” vibe (you know the one!…the one that makes us go “ooooh!” and “ahhhh!”)
I ended up getting a small bird vase that hangs magnetically on the fridge, an awesome necklace based on your moon cycle (how cool is that?!) and some dish towels. And seeds from Hudson Valley. And another necklace. And 2 candles. Oof! Totally worth it though!
My camera went click happy as well and after I spoke to Timbrel Wallace, the owner, I knew I had to feature this amazing store. If you’re looking for a great shop in downtown Gettysburg, add it to your vacation to-do…I promise you won’t be disappointed! (and I, for one, have returned two more times since this trip and know I’ll be back again in the near future!)
